Jack Petchey ‘speak out’ challenge
Congratulations to Macie French from year 10 who last week took part in the regional final of the Jack Petchey ‘speak out’ challenge, the world’s largest youth public speaking competition. The event saw students from schools across central Essex delivering speeches to the audience.
Macie’s heartfelt and thought provoking speech entitled 'we all feel it' saw her talking about the pressures that young people feel in day to day life. Well done to Macie and thank you to Mrs Hatch for supporting the Jack Petchey ‘speak out’ challenge in school.
Music live lounge event
The music department hosted a wonderful evening last week. The Dame Elizabeth Hall was set out in tables and filled with supportive family and friends. This made for a fantastic atmosphere which was lovely.
