Local Governing Body

The Local Governing Body of the school works in close partnership with the School to ensure our students have every opportunity to achieve through a sustained and meaningful commitment to our mission and core values. 

The Local Governing Body is responsible for ensuring the quality of the education provided is of the highest standard whilst respecting the professional roles of the Headteacher and other staff in the management of the school. 

The mission of William de Ferrers is to provide an excellent education for every student, enabling each to achieve highly. The School’s six key values run through the work of the Local Governing Body’s committees and groups, and ensure that we are effective in our responsibilities and are focussed on maintain high standards and expectations. The Local Governing Body has a strong overview of the key milestones for improvement for our school and we are committed to working with the Headteacher and his staff to continue our journey. You can be confident that your child will receive a good all round education from dedicated teachers and support staff at the William de Ferrers School.
