Celebrating Exams Success
Sixth Form students at William de Ferrers School are celebrating a wonderful set of results this year and the school is extremely proud of its continued upward trend of public examination results.
The year group nationally has not sat external examinations and have faced significant disruption through both key stages four and five. Notwithstanding, our students have demonstrated huge determination, perseverance and resilience. An impressive 93% of all students achieved A*-C grades in three or more level three courses. And 97% of students who took level three vocational courses were awarded Distinction*, Distinction or Merit grades.
Congratulations to the following students who achieved outstanding results across a range of subjects and qualifications: Jack Harmond, Haydn Davies, Claudia Faiers, James Allan, Oliver Walsh, Harvey Davies and Sophie Bradfield.
Headteacher Mike Applewhite said: ‘We are extremely proud of our students and delighted by the many fantastic individual successes which have opened doors to their next steps. The excitement among students opening their results was infectious and we are particularly pleased that so many William de Ferrers students achieved their first choice university places.’
William de Ferrers School offers a wide curriculum providing a range of opportunities for young people in the region to succeed and achieve their aspirations.
