Message from Governors - GCSE / A Level Examinations
Last week the chair and vice chair of the teaching and learning committee met with school leaders to understand the process that has been undertaken to complete the centre assessed grades for this year's GCSEs and A levels.
As governors it is our responsibility to provide oversight, independent challenge and support for the school. We were considerably impressed with the level of rigour and detail the school has built in the robust system that they have compiled which takes into account national guidance. There has been significant focus, time and due diligence from across the school. An immense amount of work has been undertaken by all the staff to come to a fair and just grade for all students this year.
This is a difficult situation for students, parents, carers and staff which is why we want to assure everyone that the process has been comprehensive and fair.
