Students celebrate GCSE success
William de Ferrers School is celebrating the great successes of its students who continue to achieve excellent GCSE results. A sense of joy was clearly evident as so many young people exceeded their own expectations, enabling them to successfully continue on to the next stage in their education.
Students achieved highly in the core subjects of maths and English, as well as in optional subjects. 94% of drama students and 91% of art students achieved level 4 or above, with graphic design students achieving a 100% pass rate. 39% of engineering students achieved the top grades of distinction* or distinction. Additionally, in French, 30% of students achieved an impressive level 8 or 9.
Congratulations to the following students who achieved individual outstanding results across all of their subjects:
Daisy Smith, Charlotte Dear, Thomas Campbell, Ethan Griffiths and Isabelle Borley.
Special mentions go to Holly Mee who achieved an incredible ten grade 9 GCSEs, and Joshua Brough who was awarded a highly impressive seven grade 9 and three grade 8 GCSEs.
Today’s outcomes are a real credit to our students and staff, and are a testament to the hard work and commitment shown by all.
We look forward to welcoming many of our students into the sixth form at the start of the academic year.
