A Level Exam Successes
Our students celebrated an excellent set of results for this year’s sixth form on Thursday 15 August 2019.
This year enjoyed an improvement on last years results, with almost 50% of entries achieving A*-B or equivalent. Today’s outcomes are a real credit to our students and staff, and are a testament to the hard work and commitment shown by all.
88% of students achieved three or more A level or equivalent at A*- E with 70% of all students achieving A*- C grades or equivalent in three or more subjects. The results for BTEC vocational subjects such as level three engineering and business studies were a particular strength with 39% of students achieving the highest grades (distinction*/distinction) and 100% of students passing these qualifications.
Congratulations to the following students who achieved some individual outstanding results across a varied range of subjects and qualifications:
Amy Holden, Jessica Bouch, Alfie Baldry, Franklin Hadley, Scott Ellis, Jessie Wilson, Zoe Page, Bethany Reynolds, Jordan Phelps and Archie Westall.
Well done to our students, many of whom are now off to study at a range of universities across the country, including Durham, Birmingham, Leicester, Leeds and Exeter and to eagerly sought after apprenticeships schemes or employment.
We are delighted that our continued sixth form success helps young people realise their potential and shape a successful future.
