Art Displayed at High Chelmer Shopping Centre
Categories: Parent's Information
Students from years 7, 8, 9 and 12 have worked collaboratively to produce eight banner designs that are currently on display in the High Chelmer shopping centre, Chelmsford.
The theme for the showcase was centred around abstract colour and our students have produced four designs that closely mirror the aesthetic of Wassily Kandinksy and Joan Miro. On the reverse, the banners have been produced in the style of Robert Delaunay, which take inspiration from famous architectural landmarks around the world. Working on such a large scale has been an exciting adventure for our students and the art department are very proud of their achievements.
In addition, we have exhibited a range of outstanding work by students from all year groups and these can be found on display boards in the shopping aisle opposite Primark. Students have been working very hard in lessons, at lunchtimes and after school to complete their work to a high standard.
Please try to get to High Chelmer shopping centre to see the fantastic work on display by not only our students but also all the other schools that have taken part. The banner designs will be exhibited throughout the summer holidays.
