On Friday 26 April, students in years 7 and 8 took part in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) roadshow sponsored by the Royal Navy, the RAF and BAE Systems.
The aim of the roadshow is to improve student awareness around STEM subjects and future careers within engineering. The presentation covered areas such as how mobile phones connect people around the world, how computers talk to each other and how we talk to our devices.
Students were introduced to the real life application of some of the most recent communication technologies within BAE Systems, the RAF and the Royal Navy. The session was highly informative, with a fun element that engaged our students.
