Hiring Our Facilities

Welcome to the hiring and lettings page for The William de Ferrers School. We are proud to open up our school spaces, halls, and pitches to local community groups, sports clubs, and organizations in South Woodham Ferrers and the surrounding Chelmsford area.

Our spaces are open 7 days a week during term time, with extended opening hours during school holidays. Ample on-site parking is available for all hirers.

Available Facilities

Sports & Outdoors

  • 3G Pitch & Courts: Our 3G Football Pitch (available as full, half, or quarter pitch), grass pitches, and tennis/MUGA courts are ideal for local leagues and training sessions.
  • Sports Hall & Gym: A large, multi-sport indoor area equipped for basketball, badminton, and netball, complete with an integrated climbing wall feature.

Classrooms & Halls

  • Meetings & Workshops: Standard classrooms and meeting spaces equipped with tables, chairs, and presentation displays—perfect for tutoring, evening classes, or business meetings.
  • Events & Performance: The Dame Elizabeth Hall, Small Hall/Dance Studio, and the Dining Hall/Conservatory area.
