The main site of the William de Ferrers School is set in extensive grounds adjacent to the town centre and occupies two main buildings: the William de Ferrers Community Centre and the K-Block annex which is directly across Trinity Square. Additionally, our vocational programmes are taught at the Chetwood Centre which is a 15-minute walk from the main site.
Parts of the campus are shared with the public as a result of our status as a community school, including the Library and Chelmsford City Council Leisure Centre.
Our sports facilities include a sports hall, two gymnasiums, a fitness room, an all weather Astro Pitch, a multi-use games area (MUGA), climbing wall and 25-metre indoor swimming pool.
Other facilities include a large assembly hall with tiered seating for 200, a purpose built dance studio, a meeting room for 12 people and extensive playing fields.
Most of our facilities are available for use by the community, if you would like to make an enquiry regarding the use of any of our facilities please contact the Premises Department who will be happy to answer any questions, explain the charges and make a booking for you.
